1. Nature of the Platform

Sports Med Review is a neutral directory and advertising platform that allows healthcare providers and related entities (including physicians, physical therapy clinics, imaging centers, and others) to create profiles for informational and promotional purposes.

• SMR does not provide medical care
• SMR does not make referrals
• SMR does not recommend or endorse providers

All healthcare decisions must be made independently by patients and their treating clinicians.

2. No Medical Advice

The content on this Platform is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or qualified healthcare provider.

3. Provider Listings and Advertising

Providers may purchase subscription-based listings (e.g., basic or expanded profiles).

• All fees are fixed, set in advance, and based on fair market value for advertising services
• Fees are not based on the volume or value of referrals, patients, or services
• Listings are advertisements, not referrals

SMR does not guarantee:

• Patient volume
• Appointment bookings
• Clinical utilization

4. Platform Neutrality

Search results and provider listings are based on objective criteria such as geography, specialty, and user input. Paid participation or subscription level does not determine clinical recommendation or referral priority. Any enhanced visibility is clearly labeled as advertising.

5. No Patient Routing or Brokerage

SMR does not assign, route, or distribute patients to providers and does not sell or transfer patient leads. The Platform functions solely as a passive directory.

6. Independent Referral Practices

Any referrals made by physicians affiliated with SMR are based solely on independent clinical judgment, patient preference, and medical necessity. Financial relationships with the Platform do not influence referral patterns.

7. Sponsored and Enhanced Profile Disclosure

Certain provider profiles on the Platform may display Sponsored, Featured, or Enhanced designations. These labels indicate that the provider has paid for increased visibility or additional profile features. These designations:

• Are advertisements, not clinical endorsements
• Do not reflect the quality, safety, or outcomes of care provided
• Do not constitute a referral or recommendation by SMR
• Are clearly identified to users at all times

Unpaid or basic listings are displayed based on geographic and specialty relevance and are not penalized for non-participation in paid tiers.

8. Designated Health Services Disclosure

Certain providers on the Platform may offer services classified as designated health services under federal law such as imaging and physical therapy. SMR does not influence, require, or incentivize the selection of any such provider.

9. Advertising Transparency

SMR complies with applicable advertising and consumer protection laws. Paid placements are clearly identified and distinguishable from organic listings.

10. No Medical Records and Limited Data Role

SMR does not store or transmit protected health information for clinical purposes and is not a healthcare provider or covered entity. Any information submitted is limited to directory and communication purposes.

11. No Partnership or Agency

Nothing in this agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between SMR and any provider or user.

12. Independent Clinical Judgment

All healthcare providers using the Platform exercise independent medical judgment and make decisions based solely on clinical needs and patient interests. SMR does not influence or control medical decisions, referrals, or treatment plans.

13. No Guarantee of Results

SMR makes no representations or warranties regarding patient acquisition, clinical outcomes, or business performance. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

14. User Responsibility

Patients and users are responsible for independently evaluating providers, verifying credentials, insurance participation, and services, and making their own healthcare decisions.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMR shall not be liable for medical outcomes, provider actions or omissions, or reliance on Platform content.

16. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
